Prologue

The Trees are the ultimate Life source in DarkCember. Long ago, the first Roots of the GrandTrees delved so deep through the outer Soil, that they pushed through the Crust, into the UnderLand, where there shone a Great CoreSun. The CoreSun fed the Roots with Warm Light Energy that traveled up through the Root Network until it reached the growing Trees on the surface in the form of Golden Sap.
